Dear House family,

The DiscoTone Radio Show has just passed so here you go with the regular update.

The drill was the same – some old, some new, some classics. As you might notice, I’m under certain African impressions lately so it reflects through the music.

This Joe’s miracle sound fresh as if it’s been made today. So much love in that guitar. Art!

02. Joe Claussell - Evora / White Label 2007
Yep, it’s Joe again. Can’t help it, he’s affecting me so much. Beautiful re-work of Cesaria Evora’s track. In love…

03. Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister - Refined Fuji Garbage (Track 1) / Globe Style Rec.
Now something completely different! This guy (born in 1948.) is the inventor of Fuji music; an amazing rhythmic form of Nigerian sound. The vibe is a sort of preaching followed by 12 drummers and it’s gonna drive you to the heaven and back. If you are interested in digging the beats, looking for influences or similar, this is the right starting point – Fuji music.

04. Bongo Maffin - Mari Ye Pheba (Dennis Ferrer Joburg Vocal Mix) / House Africa
Ferrer’s classic. Such rocking and club friendly vibe there. I bought this one from a guy in Bulgaria for US$ 2 – he was looking for the chance to get rid of it!!!! He stayed in my memory forever.

05. Anita Baker - Close Your Eyes (DJ Spinna Rmx) / White
Look for DJ Spinna on White Labels. He performed some miracles there. It’s a bit tricky to find those stuff, but it’s worth it all the way!

06. eEsa - Sol Brilhou / Mercado Paralelo Music
Fresh sound from MPM – one for the summer.

07. Frisco ft. Sonya Santana - A Ritmo De Son / Rodriquez Entertainment Rec.
The classic of southern coastal summer vibes.

08. PJ - Happy Days (Original 12'' Mix) / Aquarius Rec.
Memories are getting back.

09. UBQ Project feat. Kathy Summers - Feel My Soul (Aaron Smith Chicago Mix) / House-N-Effect Rec.
Classic!

10. Stephanie Cooke - Everything (Orienta-Rhythm Club Mix) / King Street Sounds
Another one!

11. Housey Doings - Lounge / Eukahouse Rec.
Best track that this London crew ever dropped, by my opinion. Soulful and hypnotic.

12. Womack & Womack - Strange and Funny (Timmy Regisford Vocal) / Underground Access
So glade to have this one. Classic tune with just a slight beat touch of Mr. Wizard.

13. Hamza ft. Loopy Juice - Ego Invader / Wind Horse Rec.
Newest track from the rising star from the City of Delhi – India. Expect much more from him in the future . Such talent showed in first two releases.

14. Boo Williams - Chrissy Jazz / Ovum Rec.
Dizzy baseline ride from the Strictly Jaz Unit crew member. Well, Josh Wink picked it for his own label so you do the math.

15. Hippie Torrales ft. Rosie Gaines - Never Quite The Same (Original Mix) / MN2S Rec.

16. The Layabouts & Pete Simpson - Thank You (Original Mix) / MN2S Rec.
Both track released on MN2S WMC 2010 sampler, which, by my opinion, made that sampler the most interesting this year. I cannot really say which one I prefer. Maybe a slight inclination to Pete Simpson’s voice. However, Torrales drop is HUUGE! These two are here to stay.
